Notting Hill Housing Trust houses homeless and poorly housed people in London. We provide homes and care for individuals and families in need and work on community development and urban renewal. Initially set up to combat poor housing and overcrowding in the Notting Hill area we now permanently house more than 50,000 people in 17 London boroughs.

Our Vision-

Notting Hill Housing Trust believes that just providing homes is not enough. We strive to build healthy, mixed, sustainable communities and give people the chance to improve their quality of life. We are actively involved in regenerating run-down urban areas and working to renew neighbourhoods as well as providing training and employment opportunities.

Programmes and Activities-

We run:

a Construction Training Initiative, a scheme which enables previously unemployed people from a variety of vulnerable backgrounds to gain full time employment. Over three years trainees study for NVQ level 2 in building industry crafts and are placed with contractors who sign up to the scheme.

a Volunteer Programme where individuals and groups of volunteers from companies and local churches give practical support and friendship to hundreds of people who have no-one.
